Hawkeye and Fever fans rejoice, Caitlin Clark is officially back in action!
After a long recovery from multiple lower-body/leg injuries, Clark returned to the court for the Indiana Fever's first preseason game against the New York Liberty.
She was a little rusty, tallying seven points on 20 percent shooting from the field and 20 percent from beyond the arc, but she played an injury-free game.
As Clark and the Fever ramp up preparations for next season, she is adding a new accolade to her growing list: becoming a published author.
Writing a children's book is another showcase of Clark's versatility
Seeing Clark back on the court is amazing not only for the WNBA but also for her millions of fans, and her newest achievement proves she is more than just a great basketball player.

According to the publisher, “The inspiration for the book comes from a mirror that hung in Clark’s childhood room, bearing the quote “The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is the little EXTRA.” pic.twitter.com/NodvKyCYtv
Clark becomes the second former Hawkeye star to recently release a children's book, following Megan Gustafson's "Pancake's Passport," which documents her playing career in Europe with her corgi, Pancake.
According to Clark's book publisher, her inspiration for the book came from a quote she hung on her mirror that read, "the difference between ordinary and extraordinary is the little EXTRA."
The book is focused on her life, sharing an important message about effort and support. It is scheduled for release on November 3.
When she was asked about the book, Clark said she hopes it reminds kids that they are never alone in chasing their dreams.
There is no doubt that this book will be extremely popular, given Clark's astronomical fame and her continued ability to inspire generations with what she does on and off the court.
