If there is a day that ends in "Y" Caitlin Clark is probably out there smashing another WNBA record.
The former Hawkeye superstar is finally healthy and showing why the Indiana Fever are among the favorites to capture a WNBA title. After spending most of the 2025 season on the sidelines with injuries, Clark is back to her normal, dominating self.
She continues to shatter records, and it is getting to the point where we need to have real conversations about whether she is one of the best point guards of all time if she keeps it up.
Clark became the fastest player in history to record 1,000-plus points, 500-plus assists
One game into the 2026 season, she became the fastest player to record 1,000-plus career points, 250-plus career rebounds, and 250-plus career assists, and she didn't stop there.
Following a victory over the Seattle Storm, she set a new WNBA record after notching her 11th game of 20-plus points and 10-plus assists, doing so in only 57 career games. The ridiculous part about that record is that the next closest player is Courtney Vandersloot, who has 10 similar games in 436 career games.
After another record-setting performance against the Golden State Valkyries recently, we are running out of ways to describe how unreal her achievements are becoming.

In just 59 career games, Clark became the fastest player in WNBA history to record 1,000-plus career points and 500-plus career assists, passing Sabrina Ionescu (84) and Sue Bird (82). As Clark continues to smash records, it makes us wonder how many more she would have set if she had been healthy last season.
She was already smashing records throughout her rookie season, and if she had been healthy in 2025, the milestones she has hit this year would have already been set. It's mind-blowing to think of all she has accomplished in such a short period of time. Love her or hate her, Clark continues to push the needle for the WNBA.
The narrative surrounding her has not always been positive, thanks to her hyper-competitiveness on the court. Still, we are truly witnessing one of the best basketball players in a generation. Forget NBA or WNBA, Clark is doing things we rarely see at any level.
It makes no sense that some members of the media and other WNBA players hate on her so much, because without her, there goes the meal ticket. During her rookie season in 2024, she generated 26.5 percent of all WNBA revenue and is a driving factor behind this offseason's salary increase.
Clark's smashing records almost weekly is not only good for her but also for the league as a whole, as she generates so much attention for it. The WNBA is experiencing an upward trajectory thanks to her, and the league is in the best place it's ever been.
It is not a coincidence that every Indiana Fever game is on national television this season, something we have never seen in the past, and that is a good thing. People need to stop getting in their feelings and just enjoy the greatness that is Caitlin Clark.
