The media pundits and projections makers are split on what Iowa Football will be in 2025. Some have the Hawkeyes as a dark horse candidate to make their first college football playoff, while others have them winning under 7.5 games this season.

A perfect example of the uncertainty surrounding the Iowa Football program this season comes from the "Cover 3 Podcast" crew.

CBS Sports' Chip Patterson and Tom Fornelli have the Hawkeyes going under 7.5 wins this season, while Danny Kanell and Bud Elliott have them going over 7.5 wins.

No one is sure what the Hawkeyes will do this season with a completely revamped quarterback room and uncertainty on the offensive line and linebacker group.

One analyst who has been on the Hawkeyes since Big Ten Football Media Days and potentially before is Big Ten Network analyst Jake Butt.

The former Michigan football standout turned analyst has heaped praise on Iowa defensive coordinator Phil Parker, and is now praising the new QB1 in Iowa City.

Following the Big Ten Network's training camp tour stop in Iowa City, Butt tweeted out that new Iowa quarterback Mark Gronowski is "clearly the most talented QB they have had."

Butt followed that up by calling Gronowski a "playmaker and a leader," similar to former Ohio State quarterback JT Barrett.

Even with former Iowa quarterbacks Brad Banks, Ricky Stanzi, C.J.Beathard, and Nate Stanley having stellar seasons under center for Iowa, Butt made a bold statement claiming that Gronowski is the most talented quarterback that Iowa has had.

After all the hype surrounding Gronowski, Iowa fans hope he can deliver and break the Iowa offense out of a five-plus-year slump.
