Former Hawkeye star Riley Moss has had a busy summer after making a stop in Des Moines, Iowa, for a celebrity softball game.

Moss participated in a celebrity softball game that was put together by fellow former Hawkeye defensive back Cooper DeJean, which took place at Principal Park in Des Moines, home of the Iowa Cubs.

After making his return to Iowa, Moss headed back to Denver to prepare for his third NFL season. Moss has been a solid cornerback for the Broncos since the organization selected him with the No. 83 overall pick in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

During his rookie season, Moss was primarily a special teams player, but he paid his dues and became a starter last season.

During his first season as a full-time starter (2024), Moss had an excellent season for the Broncos, tallying 86 total tackles (65 solo, 21 assisted), eight passes defended, one interception, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.

Before the start of the 2025-2026 season, Moss is cementing himself as a lockdown corner back for the Broncos, and his teammate and star corner back Pat Surtain had nothing but positive things to say when he was asked about Moss's progress.

"His IQ is off the charts. He is starting to understand the game at a deeper level."

After a Broncos training camp session, Surtain spoke to the media about Moss's growth and whether he feels that Moss will take the next step. He had only good things to say about Moss and raved about his teammate.

Suratin went on to say that Moss is "very savvy out there, and it is great to have him on the other side."

If Moss can continue to improve, he makes the Broncos defense even more scary going into next season.
