We are starting to run out of ways to describe how amazing Bennett Stirtz has been this season.

The Hawkeyes hit the transfer portal lottery when Stirtz decided to follow new Iowa head coach Ben McCollum to Iowa City, forgoing the NBA Draft.

Stirtz has been the cornerstone for the program's rebuild under McCollum, and the superstar senior has not disappointed in his limited time in Iowa City.

Stirtz is currently leading the Hawkeyes in points (19.9), assists (4.8), steals (1.5), and minutes per game (36.4).

After a scorching stretch of play last week, Stirtz was even better this week, picking up another Big Ten Conference award.

Stirtz earned his second straight Big Ten Co-Player of the Week award

Stirtz carried Iowa to victories over Washington and Northwestern last week, earning him the Big Ten Co-Player of the Week award for the second consecutive week.

Stirtz could not be stopped in either game last week, both resulting in Iowa wins.

He averaged 29 points, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game in those wins, getting it done on both ends of the court.

Stirtz also shot 60.6 percent from the field and 57.1 percent from beyond the three-point line, moving his season averages to 50.7 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from three.

Even though Iowa was questionably left out of the AP Top 25 rankings this week, they have a great chance to add more Quad One wins with games against Purdue and Nebraska on the horizon.

The squad will need Stirtz's recent hot streak to continue if they hope to upset either of those conference foes, and doing so would only further cement his legacy.
