It was a super Sunday for the Hawkeyes as they pushed their winning streak to an impressive six games.

During Iowa's recent stretch of games, no one has been hotter than Bennett Stirtz, who has scored over 20 points in all of Iowa's games during the winning streak.

Stirtz is proving why he is one of the top guards in college basketball and is among the best transfer signings in the country.

In Iowa's 76-70 victory over Northwestern on Super Bowl Sunday, Stirtz dropped a career-high 36 points to push Iowa to the victory.

Even though Stirtz went off once again, head coach Ben McCollum was quick to point to another factor to explain why Iowa won a tightly contested game.

McCollum was quick to credit the entire team in the victory

Stirtz is on a dfferent level than most players in college basketball right now, and while he is the main reason for Iowa's hot streak, McCollum praised everyone after Sunday's win.

According to KCRG-TV sports reporter Jack Lido, McCollum credits the entire team for being unselfish and "allowing" Stirtz to be great.

McCollum also stated that you do not see that very often at this level because, in most cases, great players' teammates also want to shine.

Everyone on Iowa's squad only cares about winning, and even though things aren't built to solely allow Stirtz to go off every night, when he is on like he was against Northwestern, his teammates are making it possible.

Allowing Bennet Stirtz to go off isn't the worst strategy we have seen from the Iowa Men's Basketball program, and if he stays as locked in as he is now, Iowa is going to be tough to beat this season.
