The recruiting wins keep on coming for Kirk Ferentz and the Iowa Hawkeyes.
With Ferentz at the helm, the Hawkeyes continue to be a top destination for in-state prospects, with over half of the 2027 recruiting class being home-grown talent.
63 percent of the Hawkeyes 2027 class is from Iowa, proving how important local talent is to Ferentz and the program.
With spring practices in full swing, another in-state prospect has committed to the Hawkeyes, giving them another talented defensive line prospect to add to the mix in 2027.
Jerrence Knoblock's commitment gives Iowa another massive addition for the DL
After recently earning a commitment from four-star defensive line prospect Tommy Riordan, the program continued to add talent to the d-line with another in-state prospect.

West Lyon High School prospect Jerrence Knoblock announced his commitment to the Hawkeyes on social media, a massive pick-up for the program in more ways than one.
Knoblock (six-foot-six, 220 pounds) is elite in stopping the run, using his big frame to bulldoze opposing offensive linemen on his way into the backfield.
He uses his size and speed effectively, taking up a lot of space in the center of the defensive line and blowing up rushing attempts before they reach the next level.
Knoblock has shown great speed and athleticism on tape, and could be a major contributor for the defensive line in the future.
247Sports composite has currently ranked Knoblock as a three-star prospect, Iowa's No. 10 overall prospect, the No. 90 defensive line prospect, and the No. 810 overall prospect in the 2027 recruiting class.
