A productive NFL Draft and undrafted signing period is about to improve for the Hawkeyes.

Iowa had a program-record seven players drafted this year, with six others signing undrafted free-agent contracts.

That means potentially 13 Hawkeyes could suit up for an NFL organization next season, adding to the more than 30 already on active rosters.

There are still a few unsigned Hawkeyes, and one former wide receiver received an invitation to a rookie minicamp for a recent Super Bowl Champion.

Oft-injured Seth Anderson is attempting to prove himself in Philadelphia

It is often hard to scout Iowa because of how much the passing game has struggled.

Iowa's struggles in the passing game are well-known, and even with multiple talented pass-catchers cycling through the program, the passing game has been nonexistent for nearly a decade.

Even though it will be a massive uphill battle to make the roster, former Hawkeye Seth Anderson is the latest former Iowa WR who is trying to change the narrative.

Anderson showcased above-average speed (4.45-second 40-yard) and an elite vertical jump (42") during the pre-draft process, but he went undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft, likely due to his injury history.

After playing in all 14 games in his first season with Iowa, he played fewer than eight in his final two seasons, limiting his on-field production.

In three years with the Hawkeyes, Anderson tallied 310 total receiving yards and three touchdowns.

If he can stay healthy, Anderson could be a good special-teams player or slot receiver, using his speed and quickness.

It won't be easy, but Anderson has a great opportunity to showcase his abilities during the Eagles' rookie minicamp, and hopefully, he impresses them enough to stay on the roster through summer roster cuts.
