More good news from the recruiting trail as Iowa has been heavily focused on adding talent to the 2028 class.
The program has hosted multiple players in the class during spring practice, and their perseverance is starting to pay off.
Over the past few weeks, Iowa has hosted linebacker prospect Blake Nesbitt and tight end prospect Jevyn Severson, and is looking to add another talented prospect to the class after hosting an in-state WR with massive upside.
A renewed focus on the offense could help Iowa land a top in-state WR prospect
Iowa's offense, especially the passing game, has been the butt of multiple jokes for multiple years now, but Tim Lester and company are trying to change that.
Now in his third season at the helm, all the offense has more weapons than they have had in a while, and the program wants to continue adding to its arsenal with an in-state star.
I had an awesome spring practice visit and an amazing conversation with @CoachBudmayr and I’m blessed to receive an offer from @HawkeyeFootball 🐤@chris_polizzi @MWinklepleckJr @COACHBAUER_ @BAUERS_ELITE @AllenTrieu @BrandonHuffman @GregBiggins @GregSmithRivals @On3 pic.twitter.com/4Shb1D6DFn

After visiting the program recently during a spring practice, 2028 wide receiver prospect Isaiah Grant announced he had received an offer from Iowa.
Rivals currently ranks Grant as a four-star prospect, Iowa's No. 3 overall prospect, the No. 26 overall wide receiver prospect, and the No. 156 overall prospect in the 2028 class.
The Sioux City East High School product has been rapidly shooting up recruiting boards, and for good reason.
Grant has great size (six-foot-two, 185 pounds) and blazing speed, allowing him to torch defenders in the secondary on his way to the endzone.
He also has great hands and a tremendous ability to catch the ball in heavy traffic.
He has the potential to make an immediate impact on the outside for the Iowa offense, and earning his commitment would be a huge step in the right direction for the program.
Even though it's still early in his recruiting journey, Rivals has already given the Hawkeyes a 50 percent chance to land the in-state star, beating out rival Iowa State and Illinois for his services.
