Year after year, the Iowa program develops some of the best offensive line talent for the NFL.

If you are a talented offensive lineman prospect and see that kind of development, and the giant Joe Moore Award trophy that now sits in the Iowa trophy case, why wouldn't you want to play for Kirk Ferentz and George Barnett?

The best offensive line unit in college football is looking to reload this season after three key players, including Logan Jones, Beau Stephens, and Gennings Dunker, are all headed to the NFL.

With Kade Pieper and Trevor Lauck returning, the Hawkeyes have a good foundation, but it does not stop there.

Iowa has been aggressively pursuing some of the top offensive line prospects in the 2027 class, and a rising star in the class has set an official visit with the program.

Four-star OT/C prospect Caleb Johnson scheduled an official visit

Multiple prospects in the 2027 class have set an official visit from June 5-7, including versatile offensive lineman Caleb Johnson.

Even though he shares a name with former Hawkeye star running back Kaleb Johnson, Caleb Johnson has a completely different skillset that fits perfectly with the Iowa system.

Johnson made another visit to the program on Junior Day at the end of January, and Iowa offered him immediately after.

While Johnson is currently unranked by 247Sports, he cracked Rivals' Top 300 prospects list and is one of the top offensive line prospects in Indiana.

Rivals currently ranks Johnson as a four-star prospect, Indiana's No. 6 overall prospect, the No. 15 offensive tackle prospect, and the No. 18 overall prospect in the 2027 recruiting class.

After scheduling two visits with the program, Johnson is definitely leaning towards the Hawkeyes, with Rivals projecting him to land in Iowa City after next year.
