The Hawkeyes got some great news just ahead of their first-round matchup against Farleigh Dickinson.

Iowa cruised to a two-seed in the NCAA Tournament, and despite getting blown out by UCLA in the Big Ten Championship game, it did not affect its seeding whatsoever.

Luckily for the Hawkeyes, they will host the first round of the tournament in Iowa City, and their first game isn't until Saturday, March 31, so they have plenty of time to get healthy.

Before Iowa matches up with FDU, they got some great news regarding a top 2026 commit.

McKenna Woliczko earned Second-Team All-American honors

Outside of what Iowa has done this season in Jan Jensen's second season in charge, a big story for the program was earning the commitment of superstar forward McKenna Woliczko.

Woliczko committed to the program last October and has continued to rack up the accolades in her senior season.

She didn't skip a beat after suffering ACL and meniscus injuries last season, and after a long injury layoff, she earned national recognition for her dynamic senior season.

Woliczko was named a Naismith High School Second-Team All-American after her senior season, and she could've easily been on the first team.

If Woliczko was healthy for the whole season, she was poised to put up video game-like numbers after dominating as a junior.

Earning a Second-Team All-American distinction even after missing most of the season shows just how good she is, and the future looks bright for the future Hawkeye.

During her high school career, Woliczko averaged 21.3 points and 9.4 rebounds per game, while shooting 63 percent from the field.

We can't wait for Woliczko to get to Iowa City and join a blossoming young team that has the potential to be even better next season.
