Iowa Football will be back sooner than you think!

The Hawkeyes are still in the early stages of preparation for the 2026 season as Kirk Ferentz and the squad continue spring practices, but we are already looking to the future.

Whether it's the impending quarterback competition, Tony Diaz torching defenders, or Cam Buffington taking the next step, there is plenty for the program to reveal before next season.

Before the season officially begins, a staple of the summer is the Big Ten Football Media Days, and Iowa learned when it will take the stage in Chicago.

With a new year comes new opportunities, and Iowa has the potential to do something they haven't done: make its first College Football Playoff.

The talent and potential are there, but we won't get a true idea of where the squad is until we hear from Kirk Ferentz and company at the Big Ten Media Days.

The program learned they will be one of the first teams to take the stage in Chicago on July 28 during day one, with Kirk Ferentz and three athletes speaking to the media during a specific window.

Iowa, alongside Illinois, Penn State, Rutgers, USC, and Wisconsin, will provide a status update on their programs, giving everyone a brief look at where they stand heading into next season. The Big Ten Network will have complete coverage of the event.

For the Hawkeyes, the biggest question will be who the starting quarterback is, followed by how they will handle a tough stretch of games against Michigan, Ohio State, and Washington.

July is not that far away, and everyone is getting hyped for the season to officially start for the Hawkeyes against Northern Illinois on Saturday, November 5.
