The Iowa football team is back in action this evening against Penn State. Here are the last-second notes you need to know before kickoff.

Gold uniforms, under the lights at Kinnick Stadium, and Ricky Stanzi being the honorary captain. What a dream scenario for this Iowa football team looking to bounce back after they lost on the road at Michigan. Here’s a quick rundown on what to look forward to with tonight’s game.

Undefeated and 10th ranked Penn-State will be looking to spoil the party inside Kinnick Stadium.

Right now, the Iowa Football team still controls it’s own destiny even after the loss last week. If the Hawkeyes win this game, the next two games are pretty winnable which would mean when they travel to Madison to play Wisconsin it could be a winner-take-all game. But let’s worry about this one first.

When these two teams kick off at 6:30 PM CST this evening at Kinnick Stadium this will be the 29th matchup all-time versus these two teams. Penn State holds the advantage with a 16-12 lead, and the Nittany Lions have a 5 game win streak in the series. Last years ballgame at Penn-State was one that Iowa had every opportunity to win but couldn’t get it done.

This game will be aired nationally on ABC. If you don’t have the access to a cable provider you can stream the game on FuboTV. Calling the game will be Sean McDonough doing the play-by-play, Todd Blackledge doing the color and Holly Rowe reporting from the sideline.

Weather for this matchup does not look the greatest. It is going to be a cold one most of the game with temperatures nearing 45 degrees with some gusty winds through the game so be prepared to dress warm.

According to Bovada, they have Penn State favored by 3 points with the over/under set at 42.5.

I feel like this game is going to be a battle for the Iowa football team. Penn-State is a very good football team with some truly dynamic game-changing players.

The Hawkeyes have to strike early to get the crowd involved and make the night game at Kinnick electric.

Three keys to beating Penn State. dark. Next

Personally, I have the Hawkeyes winning this one but by a field goal.

Enjoy this one Iowa fans and go Hawks!
