After a much-needed bye Iowa football returns to action inside Kinnick Stadium against the MTSU Blue Raiders. Here’s the game time info you need to know.

It was a long couple of weeks without Iowa football. Today though, the undefeated Iowa Hawkeyes welcomes a different non-conference opponent than they would usually play, the Middle Tennesse State Blue Raiders from the Conference USA.

The Blue Raiders come into this game with a 1-2 record. Oddly enough this is going to be their second game versus a Big Ten opponent. In week one of the season they traveled to Michigan and took on the Wolverines where they came up short. Over the course of the Iowa football program’s history, they have faced seven Conference USA opponents, but this will be the first time ever that these two teams will match up.

Kickoff for the Hawkeyes and Blue Raiders is scheduled for 11 AM, and it will be televised on ESPN2.  Announcers for this game will be Kevin Brown doing the play-by-play with Andre Ware doing color commentary. For you cable folks, this is Direct TV channel 209 and Dish Network channel 143. But if you don’t have cable, you can also stream the game on FuboTV.

Weather for this ballgame is looking pretty good considering the forecast leading up to this game was rain. But the forecast turned, and it will be partly cloudy and in the mid 60’s most of the game. For the most part, the injury report remains the same from two weeks ago with the addition of starting guard Kyler Schott. There is a chance we see a guy like Kaevon Merriweather back in action, but Kirk Ferentz has been holding those cards close to his chest.

According to Bovada, the Iowa football team is favored by 24 points and the over under is set at 52.

I am looking for the Hawkeyes to play a complete game on both sides of the ball and not having any trouble with Middle Tennesse and head back into Big Ten play 4-0. As always enjoy the game. Fight for Iowa!
