We are 24 hours away from the Iowa football team taking on the Minnesota Gophers. We have injuries, odds, and streaming information below.

The Iowa football program is heading to Minnesota today to prepare for their game against the Minnesota Gophers tomorrow at TCF Bank Stadium. This matchup will be the 112th meeting of these two programs and with both teams sitting at 3-1 with an 0-1 conference record, this game is an important one for both teams.

In order to prepare you for tomorrow’s contest, check out this article on the three keys to the Iowa football team winning Saturday as well as a Q&A article with a Minnesota Gopher expert to get some inside intel on what to expect from PJ Fleck’s team.

This game will be Iowa’s first on the road as they opened the season with four consecutive road games. Thankfully, the weather hasn’t gotten too nasty in our northern neighbor state. The forecasted temperature at time of kick off is 47 degrees overcast with 0% chance of precipitation.

Game time for Saturday’s contest is 2:30 PM Central Standard, and it will be airing on the Big Ten Network. If you are unable to get access to the Big Ten Network, you can stream the game through FuboTV with a one week free trial.

Injuries

As you watch the game, you will notice a few familiar will likely not be taking the field. Starting linebacker Nick Niemann is out for the game (and for the next few weeks) with a leg injury. In his place will be redshirt sophomore Barrington Wade who will be making his first start for the Iowa football program.

Another starter on the defense, corner Matt Hankins, is a game-time decision after suffering an injury in the game against Wisconsin. Although the Iowa football coaches are hopeful that he will be able to play, they are ready to rely on freshman corners Julius Brents and Riley Moss if needed.

On the offensive side of the ball, Brandon Smith is currently listed as questionable, and if he is unable to go, Ihmir Smith-Marsette will likely step into the starter’s role.

Odds

Despite being the visiting team, Oddsshark.com has Iowa as the favored team in this matchup. The Minnesota Gophers are getting seven points in this game, and the over/under is set at 43. While Iowa is 7-3 in its last ten games against Minnesota, they are only 5-5 against the spread.

In the case of this game, however, I think it’s highly likely the Iowa football team will pull off a double-digit victory to bring home the Floyd of Rosedale for a fourth consecutive year.

As always, our twitter account will be active providing in-game takes and analysis of Saturday’s contest so make sure to give us a follow. After the game, we will be providing you with our recap of the contest, top performers, and top areas of improvement.

I don’t know about you, but it’s been a long two weeks without Iowa football, and I am excited to get back on the winning track starting tomorrow.
