No. 4 – NOAH FANT

Fant had a pretty crazy recruiting process, especially late.  But Fant ultimately settled on his original commitment and held strong with the Hawkeyes.  Fant is rated as a three star prospect by Rivals.  He played his high school football at Omaha South in Omaha, NE.  He stands 6’5″ and weighs about 210 pounds.  He chose Iowa over Arizona State and Minnesota, who was in it until the end, but Fant decided to cancel his visit to Minnesota and stay committed to Iowa.

Many were worried that he was going to flip his commitment and Iowa was going to lose arguably the most talented of the three tight ends they brought in in the class of 2016.  No worries though, Fant will be a Hawkeye.

He possesses solid hands and is a pretty decent route runner.  He looks like an above average blocker and should only get better as he gets bigger.  He looks like your prototypical tight end in the Iowa system.  He can block, catch, and seems to have a great understanding for the game.  With Fant’s size and skill set, he should be successful at Iowa.

Fant is one of three tight ends the Hawkeyes picked up and all of them should contribute when their time comes.  Obviously, Iowa has no problem getting playing time to multiple tight ends, so there should be no issues with that in Iowa City.
