Kirk Ferentz made a big change last week in the game against Northwestern that made Iowa fans very happy when he "benched" quarterback Cade McNamara for Brendan Sullivan. Ferentz says that McNamara has a concussion from a hit he took during the game, but he did go out and play quite a bit after the hit, so it seems like there could be something fishy going on.
Either way, Sullivan went out and made the most of his opportunity and ran the Hawkeyes offense efficiently. More will be seen as the Hawkeyes take on Wisconsin this weekend and the Badgers will have some film on Sullivan in order to game plan against him.
This is a good rivalry game, as the two teams will compete for the Heartland Trophy, and the Hawkeyes will hope to get closer to evening the series.
