The Iowa defense is breathing a sigh of relief after No. 9 Oregon released an updated injury report for Saturday's game.
The Ducks' offense has been one of the best in college football this season due to its ability to run and pass at a high level.
Sophomore quarterback Dante Moore has taken a step forward this year and has guided a high-powered Ducks' offense to success.
Through 10 weeks this season, Moore has tallied 2,000 yards passing (1,772) with 19 touchdowns to four interceptions.
A large part of Moore's success in the passing game is due to the emergence of a star wide receiver who is only a freshman.
Dakorien Moore, a freshman from Duncanville, Texas, has been the Ducks' most productive wideout this season.
This should not be a surprise, as 247Sports ranked Moore as the No. 1 wide receiver in the 2025 recruiting class, but he has burst onto the scene this season.
Through the first 10 weeks, Moore is leading the Ducks with 443 receiving yards on 28 receptions, while adding four total touchdowns (three receiving, one rushing).
Unfortunately for the Ducks, Moore was injured at practice this week, and we now know his status for a pivotal game against the Hawkeyes on Saturday afternoon.

Oregon's most recent injury report lists Moore as "Out" for this game, a huge blow to the Ducks' offense.
The Iowa Hawkeyes' defense has been stellar once again this season, and the unit is one of the top in college football overall, especially against the pass.
The Iowa defense ranks No. 5 overall in passing yards allowed per game (151.0), No. 6 in team passing efficiency defense (100.78), and is No. 4 in scoring defense (12.4 points per game).
The Hawkeyes will have to play near-perfect on both sides of the football, and with Oregon missing their top pass catcher, it gives Iowa a chance to make Oregon more one-dimensional.
If the Hawkeyes can force the high-powered Oregon offense into being more one-dimensional, Iowa has a good chance to upset the Ducks in Kinnick Stadium.
