If you bet on the Iowa vs. LSU women's basketball game I sincerely hope you took the over because this game is all about the offense. The first half of the heavily anticipated rematch did not disappoint as the score held at 45-45 at halftime.

It was all Iowa in the beginning of the game as the Hawkeyes seemed to not miss. They were led by Caitlin Clark of course who went 3-for-4 to start the game hitting two threes. About halfway through the first quarter the Tigers also began to heat up and hit shot after shot.

Clark finished the half with 19 points and five assists, but also three turnovers. In the second quarter, Clark began to become a little careless with the ball forcing passes that weren't there. Midway through the second quarter though, when the game began to speed up, Clark took advantage of a fast break and hit a wide open three to bring the Hawkeyes within one.

The Hawkeyes have struggled in the paint against LSU's height, especially against 6-foot-3 forward Angel Reese. Reese only has two blocks in the game, but her presence has kept the Hawkeyes from attacking the basket.

There is still a lot of time left and Clark can't win this game on her own. Sydney Affolter is second in scoring with 10 points and three rebounds and Hannah Steukle has been great on the board with five rebounds.

Get your popcorn folk, this second half will probably be as electric as the first.
