No surprise here...Caitlin Clark wins WNBA Rookie of the Year Award

Caitlin Clark finished up her first regular season in the WNBA, earning an award everyone knew she would get before she even stepped onto the court for the first time this season.

Absolutely no one should be surprised that former Iowa star and WNBA rookie star Caitlin Clark has won the Associated Press Rookie of the Year Award.

To make it even better, Clark was unanimously awarded the Rookie of the Year Award.

It has been the season everyone expected it to be for Clark, well, at least everyone for Iowa expected it to be. Clark was not only named the Rookie of the Year but she was also named to the AP All-Rookie Team and the AP All-WNBA First Team.

Clark finished the regular season playing in all 40 games, averaging 35.4 minutes a game, 19.2 points per game, 5.7 rebounds, and 8.4 assists. She shot 41.7% from the floor and 34.4% from beyond the arm, along with a 90.6 free throw percentage.

The Indiana Fever played in their first playoff game since 2016 on Sunday and lost to the Connecticut Sun 93-69 to be down 1-0 in the first-round series.
