Love it or hate it, ESPN has released their 2024 college football anthem
If you have been on social media at all int he last few hours, you have probably seen that ESPN has released their new college football anthem for the 2024 season, and it is, well, it is an interesting choice.
Jelly Roll has been selected as the featured artist and his newest, and probably worst single, 'Get By' which will be featured on his upcoming album is the song selected. ESPN also picks one song to be their anthem for the upcoming season and makes a hype video to go along with it and while the video hits, the song doesn't quite fit.
So if you are a fan of Jelly Roll, this may really excite you, but if you are like me and are not a fan or don't even really know who Jelly Roll is, you might be scratching your head a little bit. Don't you think that ESPN would want to choose a song that would give a little more hope and hype than 'Get By' for an upcoming season with so many new beginnings?
The video itself was great as it featured teams from all over from Boise State to Rutgers to Iowa each video showing a highlight of a big play or showing players celebrating on the field.
However, compared to seasons in the past, this song is probably one of the worst compared to ones such as 'Centuries' by Fall Out Boy or 'Hope' by NF.
In the end though, whether you love or hate it, it is the anthem that was chosen so be prepared to either turn the volume up and dance in your living room or hit the mute button as fast as possible because it will be on every single Saturday until the end of the season.
