Iowa and No. 3 Ohio State are set to meet for the 20th time in program history, and the Hawkeyes are hoping to get just their fourth-ever win over the Buckeyes. Ohio State has dominated this series for years, losing just twice in the last 20 years.

The Hawkeyes will have to play a near-perfect game in order to pull off the upset on the team favored two in the conference and be one of the top teams in the College Football Playoff. The defense will be the name of the game for both teams, especially their run defenses. Ohio State and Iowa have some of the top run games in the Big Ten and the top two run defenses in the Big Ten.

This will be a battle and it should be a good game to watch.

Iowa vs. No. 3 Ohio State final predictions

The betting line for this game did shift a little in Iowa's favor, with the line going from 20.5 to 18.5. The O/U remained the same at 45.5, with the sportsbooks thinking this would be a low-scoring affair. As mentioned earlier, this game is going to come down to defense, more so the run defense.

Iowa running back Kaleb Johnson is one of the best running backs in the country, with the second most rushing yards of all college running backs with 685 yards and nine touchdowns. Johnson has been the highlight of this slow-moving Iowa offense that always seems to take a half to fully warm up. The Buckeyes have a two-headed monster in their backfield with Quishon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson.

Both of these will most likely rely on their run game, as both have quarterbacks that are a little questionable. Ohio State's Will Howards have played remarkably better than Iowa's Cade McNamara but has not put up numbers Ohio State fans are accustomed to with their quarterbacks.

This is going to be a tough game, but I think Ohio State just simply has more firepower than Iowa does and will walk away with the win in this one.
