Ricky Davis played for a lot of different teams in the NBA totaling six teams. After being drafted in the first round of the 1998 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets, Davis did not see the court during his rookie season until February. His first two years with Charlotte and then one year with Miami were not amazing as he averaged almost five points per game and around 11 minutes on the court.

After three years of limited playing time and small numbers, Davis broke out when he got to Cleveland as his minutes doubled in his first season there and he suddenly averaged 11.7 points per game. While his first season with the Cavaliers was impressive, his jump the second season was even more amazing. Davis averaged 20.6 points per game, 4.9 rebounds, and 5.5 assists averaging almost 40 minutes on the court.

Davis was never able to completely replicate his second season with the Cavaliers, but he came close quite a few times with the different teams he moved around to. Davis ended his career averaging 13.5 points per game, 2.7 rebounds, and 3.5 assists. After a rough first three seasons, Davis turned his career around with just the right team.
