Iowa is trying to get back on track this week and Troy just might be the best opponent to do it. However, let's get this straight, the Iowa offense needs to get back on track this week and the Iowa defense just needs to keep doing what it is doing.

This game may not have seemed like an important game when looking at the schedule before the season started, but now being 1-1, the Hawkeyes can not afford to go into conference 1-2. Even though the College Football Playoff is expanding this season, two losses, especially one to Troy, could essentially eliminate Iowa from playoff contention.

Iowa has everything in their favor this Saturday, they are at home, they are the projected heavy favorites, and this is not a power conference opponent. The Hawkeyes have no excuse to walk away with a win, and they need to do so convincingly to get their hand off the panic button.

  • Play-by-play commentator: Eric Collins
  • Color commentary: Spencer Tillman

The Iowa Hawkeyes will get a Fox crew with the game on FS1. Eric Collins and Spencer Tillman will be calling the game for Troy vs. Iowa and this is a great crew to call this game. Collins and Tillman bring a lot of experience to the broadcast booth and should hopefully call a great game.

The Iowa game will also be broadcast on the Hawkeye Radio Network as always with the normal crew of Gary Dolphin on play-by-play, Pat Angerer on color commentary, and Rob Brooks on the sideline. Fans can listen to the game online or on the radio on the go in case they aren't near a TV.
