Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark is one of the most polarizing figures in sports. Iowa fans defend her to the death, while others struggle to accept her greatness and the impact she has had on sports.

Love her or hate her, most people recognize the name Caitlin Clark.

Clark was a heavily discussed player during her career at the University of Iowa, as she continued to redefine women's basketball and shatter every record she could, including becoming the NCAA's all-time leading scorer with 3,951 career points.

She took her unique playing style and swagger to the professional level, joining the Indiana Fever organization after they selected her with the No. 1 overall pick in 2024.

Clark continued shattering records en route to being named the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year and earning All-WNBA First Team honors.

The media, fans, and sponsors flocked to Clark, making her one of the most recognizable figures in the sports world.

This summer, Wilson Sporting Goods and Clark teamed up to release a new signature line of basketballs that focus on her off-court personality.

Nike also jumped on the Clark train early, re-signing the superstar to a massive contract following the expiration of her name, image, and likeness deal in 2024. Part of the contract was the release of a signature shoe.

Clark's version of the Nike Kobe Protro V sneaker dropped on June 30, and was sold out in minutes.

Nike continued to up the ante on Clark's popularity, creating a massive banner to celebrate Clark and promote the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis.

At the end of June, the WNBA announced that Clark was one of the captains for the 2025 All-Star Game, receiving a massive 1.29 million fan votes.

Clark's status for the All-Star Game is unknown after missing the last five games with a groin injury, but the game is in Indianapolis, and Nike has seized the opportunity to promote the game and its superstar.

The new Nike ad for Clark and the All-Star Game was displayed on the JW Marriott in downtown Indianapolis and became the largest sports graphic to be displayed on the hotel.

The All-Star Game will take place on July 19 at 7:30 p.m. Central Time at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis and will air on ABC.
