The contract dispute between Fox and YouTube TV continues. The popular television streaming service was prepared to drop all Fox-related networks if the two sides could not reach an agreement.
That included local Fox stations, Fox News, Fox Weather, Fox Sports, and other stations affiliated with the Fox broadcasting company.
On Monday, YouTube TV informed its millions of customers via email that they might lose access to Fox stations on Wednesday, August 27, unless a deal is reached. Fans were outraged as it was going to affect their ability to watch some major college football matchups.
One of the biggest matchups of the day is the "Big Noon" game on Fox, featuring No. 1 Texas traveling to Columbus, Ohio, to battle No. 3 Ohio State on Saturday, August 30, and it could be in jeopardy.
The first Iowa football game of the season against Albany on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. Central Time is also in jeopardy because it is airing on Fox Sports 1.
Luckily for YouTube TV subscribers, a short-term deal has been initiated until a long-term agreement is reached.

A little after 4:00 p.m. Central Time, On3 Sports reported that a short-term agreement had been reached while the two sides continue to negotiate a long-term deal.
Te news brought a collective sigh of relief for YouTube TV subscribers, but they are not out of the woods yet.
If a long-term deal is not reached, millions could still potentially lose access to all Fox networks.
Negotiations between streaming services and television networks are not new, and it is not the first time a service has threatened to drop a network if a deal is not reached.
Customers continue to endure the headache of corporate negotiations as the two sides continue working out a deal.
