The Seattle Seahawks had a busy offseason. They shipped off their starting quarterback, Geno Smith, to the Raiders in exchange for the No. 92 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. That pick turned into Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe.
In April, Seattle solved their starting quarterback problem by signing former Minnesota Vikings starter, Sam Darnold. Darnold inked a three-year deal to be the starter for the Seahawks.
After opting not to sign any offensive linemen during free agency, Seattle had to address that concern during the NFL Draft. They selected Grey Zabel (No. 18 pick) and Bryce Cabeldue (No. 192) to help address that issue.
Late Saturday, the Seahawks added more depth to their offensive line.

Iowa tackle Mason Richman was selected with the No. 234 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. He was a stalwart for the Hawkeyes at tackle, but the Seahawks plan on moving him inside to the tackle position.
The Seahawks made the offensive line a priority during the NFL Draft. Richman is a versatile lineman who can address those issues.
Richman was a key part of the Iowa offensive line that finished as semifinalists for the Joe Moore Award last season. The Joe Moore Award is given to the best offensive line unit in the nation. Richman was a workhorse for Iowa, starting in 52 career games (the most in the Kirk Ferentz era).
That included making 43 consecutive starts at tackle.
The Seahawks found a gem late in the draft, and Richman will be able to contribute immediately on the offensive line.
