What a way to finishe your college career by quarterback Mark Gronowski!
Gronowski was Iowa's QB1 under center all season and got the chance to start one more game before heading to the NFL Draft in late April.
Gronowski had a great week of practice ahead of Tuesday night's East-West Shrine Bowl game in Frisco, Texas, and he proved one more time why teams should take a chance on him in the upcoming draft.
The East-West Shrine Bowl has occurred annually for 100 years, and what better way to showcase your abilities than to have a solid showing at one of the longest-running college football all-star games?
Gronowski's dual-threat ability was on full display in Frisco
Leading up to the 2026 East-West Shrine Bowl, Gronowski, alongside fellow Hawkeye Kaden Wetjen, was named to the West team's All-Practice Team, earning both players a start in the showcase game.
Gronowski played through the first quarter into the second quarter before being replaced by Louisville's Miller Moss.
Gronowski was COOKING throughout his time on the field, hitting multiple tight-window throws, and used his legs to secure multiple important first downs for the West team.
He finished his day completing seven out of ten passes for 86 yards and added three rushes for 28 yards.
Even though he had a stellar day passing and running, Gronowski was getting the most praise for a block he threw after leading the West on an 82-yard scoring drive.

On an option run play, Gronowski held the ball until the last second, ultimately giving it to Houston running back Dean Connors.
After handing the ball to Connors, Gronowski rolled left, becoming a lead blocker, and threw a HUGE block to spring Connors for the touchdown.
Social media could not get enough, and neither could we.
After the showcase was complete, Gronowski earned the East-West Shrine Bowl's Offensive Most Valuable Player award as the West won 21-17 in thrilling fashion.
