"The Jet" is officially landing in Pittsburgh after the Steelers selected him in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
There were very few players who were as electric as Kaden Wetjen was with the ball in his hands last season, especially in the return game.
Wetjen lit up the field every time he fielded a kick or a punt, and it was shocking that teams kept kicking to him after he continued to rattle off big plays.
Wetjen finished his Iowa career with the most return touchdowns in school history with six, passing former Hawkeye great Tim Dwight.
He also became the only two-time Jet Award winner after winning the award in back-to-back seasons.
After a dynamic college career, the Pitssburgh Steelers took a chance on him, and are now locking him up to a long-term deal.
Wetjen officially signed his first pro contract with the Steelers
The Steelers selected Wetjen with the No. 121 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, which was higher than expected, but the speedster brings a lot to the table.
Now, he is officially a Steeler.

As a fourth-round pick, it was not a guarantee that Wetjen would get signed, but it was also not highly in doubt.
The Steelers signed Wetjen to a four-year deal to keep him in Pittsburgh, and now it's time for the Williamsburg, Iowa, native to go to work.
Wetjen was listed as a wide receiver on the Iowa roster, but he saw limited time on the offense. His primary value is in the return game, and he has fully embraced that role.
Before the NFL Draft, Wetjen leaned into his "return specialist" role, stating that he would make an immediate impact if given the chance.
The Steelers have given him that chance, and they are excited about what he brings to the table.
The Steelers believe Wetjen is going to be a 'major addition' to the organization
Pittsburgh's special teams coordinator, Danny Crossman, had nothing but praise for Wetjen and called him their top-rated dual return player.
Crossman also said that Wetjen plays the game fearlessly, but smartly, and he thinks he is going to be a massive addition and pay dividends for the organization.
Wetjen brings a lot to the return game, and Crossman believes that he will ultimately help bring some wins right away.
That's extremely high praise for someone projected to be primarily a return specialist, but that is exactly the kind of impact Wetjen can make.
