Sometimes the grass isn't always greener, and that turned out to be the case for a former top Iowa prospect.

The Hawkeyes had a very talented freshman class last season, including Addie Deal (No. 9 overall), Layla Hays (No. 65 overall), and Journey Houston (No. 88 overall), and they all contributed in their first season in the program.

Even though the top in-state prospect got away and went to Lousiana State University (LSU), Iowa has the potential to rectfiy that mistake by brining her back to her home state.

Divine Bourrage is reportedly entering the transfer portal

LSU was bounced out of the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament in the Sweet 16 by Duke on a buzzer-beater, and the hits keep on coming.

A former five-star prospect, and the No. 1 Iowa prospect in the 2025 recruiting class is reportedly set to look for options elsewhere.

According to On3 Sports' Talia Goodman, Divine Bourrage plans to enter the transfer portal after spending one season with LSU.

Bourrage was a former teammate of current Hawkeye Journey Houston at Davenport North High School, and was the top-ranked in-state prospect in the 2025 recruiting class.

Bourrage averaged 19.8 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game during her junior year, but Iowa never offered her for some unknown reason. She can play either guard position and will fill a huge void on the Iowa depth chart

Kylie Feuerbach and Taylor McCabe are graduating, and Kennise Johnson plans to enter the portal, leaving Iowa's guard depth at three players.

Bourrage can play either guard position and can be either a starter or a solid bench option depending on whether Jan Jensen wants to keep Chit-Chat Wright and Taylor Stremlow in the starting lineup, or add Addie Deal.

Iowa has a great opportunity to bring a former Iowan home, and she would be a huge addition to the program before next season.
