Recruiting is never easy, especially when you are trying to pry top talent from other states that have programs in your conference.
The Iowa program currently has three committed prospects in the 2027 class, with momentum building.
Iowa's reputation for producing NFL-ready talent is no secret, and the program is starting to attract more top talent.
Development and coaching stability have traditionally been two selling points on the recruiting trail for Kirk Ferentz and his staff, and they are hoping that will be enough to pry a top two-way prospect from the state of Michigan.
Iowa offered 2027 two-way prospect Gideon Gash
Two of the three Iowa commitments in the 2027 recruiting class are ranked as four-star prospects, and the program is hoping to add one more by offering Gideon Gash.

Gash is an extremely talented prospect in the 2027 class and just finished his junior year with Detroit Catholic Central High School.
Gash plays defensive back and wide receiver for the Shamrocks and is also a member of the basketball and lacrosse teams.
He is steadily rising up recruiting boards, and his senior season will be huge for his recruitment.
It will be tough for Iowa to pry him away from Michigan, as he is a Michigan native, but he also has two older brothers on the Michigan State roster.
According to our friends at "Spartan Avenue," Gash could be the most talented of the three brothers, and Michigan State became the favorite to sign him after his brother Samson committed to the program this week.
247Sports Composite has ranked Gideon as a four-star prospect, Michigan's No. 7 overall prospect, the No. 34 cornerback prospect, and the No. 304 overall prospect in the 2027 recruiting class.
Rivals has ranked Gideon as a four-star prospect, Michigan's No. 7 overall prospect, the No. 28 safety prospect, and the No. 265 overall prospect in the 2027 recruiting class.
