There are only 90 days left until Iowa Football! The spring transfer portal is closed and spring practices have wrapped up, but the Hawkeyes are still preparing for the 2025-2026 season.

Last week, Iowa learned multiple start times and television networks for games next season. The Hawkeyes start the season with three straight non-conference games, including UAlbany, the Cy-Hawk game against rival Iowa State, and Massachusetts.

The season opener against UAlbany on August 30 will begin at 5:00 p.m. Central Time on Fox Sports One. The Cy-Hawk series will be a prime game for Fox Sports as the "Big Noon Kickoff" game at 11:00 a.m. Central Time on September 6.

The Big Ten home opener against Rutgers has been moved to Friday, September 19, at 7:00 p.m. Central Time on Fox.

The final regular season game against rival Nebraska is slated for 11:00 a.m. Central Time on Black Friday (November 28), and will air on CBS.

All other times and networks will be announced later.

What does not need to be announced: No. 90 Brian Allen is a force for the Iowa defense. As we are only 90 days away from Hawkeye Football, we profile No. 90.

Allen had a breakout year for the Hawkeyes during the 2024 season. After redshirting his first season (2022) and playing sparingly in his redshirt freshman season (2023), Allen became a solid reserve for the Hawkeyes last season.

Allen tallied 17 tackles (13 solo, four assisted), including 4.5 tackles for loss, and three quarterback sacks in 11 appearances. He racked up a career-high four tackles in a 32-20 loss against Michigan State last season.

The Hawkeyes lost multiple key players on the defensive line, including fifth-round NFL Draft pick Yahya Black, and Allen is projected to increase his role this season.
