Sometimes on the recruiting trail, when you know, you know.

No. 20 Iowa lost a tight 18-16 game to No. 9 Oregon on Saturday, with multiple miscues dooming their chances of an upset.

A poor snap on a punt led to an Iowa safety, as normally sure-handed Kaden Wetjen fumbled on the 14-yard line with a chance to score more points. A failed two-point conversion then allowed Oregon to close the door.

With the loss to Oregon, Iowa's College Football Playoff aspirations were dashed, but they have a chance to close out the last three games on a high note.

Despite the loss on the field, the Hawkeyes attempted to secure a win on the recruiting trail by offering a 2028 multi-sport athlete from Michigan.

Portage Central High School product Camden Noe announced he received an offer from the Hawkeyes shortly after their loss to Oregon over the weekend.

Noe is a multi-sport athlete for Portage Central High School in Portage, Michigan, competing in basketball, football, and baseball.

He is currently a linebacker/athlete prospect, and is listed at six-foot-four, 210 pounds.

Noe announced he received an offer from the Hawkeyes after speaking with assistant defensive coordinator/linebackers coach Seth Wallace, implying the Hawkeyes see him as a potential fit at linebacker.

Noe currently holds offers from seven programs, including Central Michigan, Iowa, Miami (OH), Minnesota, Toledo, and Western Michigan.

The Hawkeyes will lose multiple talented linebackers after this season, including Jaxon Rexroth, Jaden Harrell, and Karson Sharar. If Noe can develop, he can make a solid addition to a depleted group.
