Iowa Football closed its non-conference slate with a dominating 47-7 victory over UMass. After the first three weeks of non-conference games, the Hawkeyes are 2-1 with wins over Albany and UMass, and a loss to Iowa State.

After the conclusion of the non-conference portion of the schedule, Iowa begins a tough Big Ten Conference schedule with a road game in Piscataway, New Jersey.

The Hawkeyes travel to New Jersey to take on Rutgers with a shortened week of preparation. Iowa will face Rutgers on Friday, September 19, at 7:00 p.m. Central Time.

Rutger (3-0) is coming off a dominating 60-10 victory over Michael Vick and Norfolk State and will look to get their conference schedule started with a win.

After the Hawkeyes head to Piscataway, they head back home for the annual Homecoming game in Iowa City. This season, the Hawkeyes will take on a resurgent Indiana squad, and we now know the time for the game.

The Big Ten announced the game will be played at 2:30 p.m. Central Time and will be broadcast on Peacock.

Iowa (2-1, 0-0) will have a challenging task against Indiana for their second Big Ten conference matchup.

Head coach Curt Cignetti has turned the Indiana program around in his two years at the helm and guided the Hoosiers to a College Football Playoff appearance last season during his first season in charge.

Indiana has started this season off on a hot streak, winning their first three games. They capped off their non-conference schedule by destroying in-state rival Indiana State 73-0.

The Hoosiers totaled 680 total yards on offense with ten touchdowns, and limited Indiana State to only 77 total yards of offense in the dominating win.

The Hawkeyes will have to be perfect in all three phases of the game to upset Indiana in their Homecoming matchup, but they have to first take care if business against Rutgers this Friday.
