The Iowa Hawkeyes scored 40 points in their matchup against Washington, the most points this offense has put up in a very long time. This offense has almost doubled their points per game by putting up around 29.2 points per game this season. Offensive coordinator Tim Lester has done a great job elevating this offense, all led by running back Kaleb Johnson.

There are still things they need to clean up, mainly in the quarterback position, but all in all, things are looking better. The Hawkeyes are set to take on Michigan State this weekend, hoping to break a two-game losing streak against the Spartans. Iowa has not beaten Michigan State since 2017, when they were last in Lansing.

Iowa will look to continue the momentum they have after their big 40-16 win over Washington in Week 7. Michigan State has looked better than expected this season with Aidan Chiles at quarterback, so the defense will have to be on its game.
