The Indiana Fever are having a tough time with injuries during the 2025 season. The Fever have already lost guards Aari McDonald (torn ACL) and Sydney Colson (broken bone) for the season, and recently lost super-sub Sophie Cunningham.
Sophie was injured in the Fever's last game against the Connecticut Sun during a 99-93 overtime victory.
It was recently announced that she will also miss the rest of the season after suffering an MCL tear in her right knee.
To add to the Fever's injury woes, superstar guard Caitlin Clark still does not have a timetable for her return to the court.
Clark has suffered multiple injuries this season, the most recent in the second-to-last game before the all-star break agains the Connecticut Sun.
After Sunday's game, Fever Head Coach Stephanie White was asked about Clark's status, and she gave a very limited response, but stated they hope to have her back by the playoffs.
According to Fieldhouse Files reporter Scott Agness, Clark tweaked her ankle earlier in August, and while it did not add more time to her rehab, it set her back.
White gave another update on Clark's status on Wednesday, still not revealing much about a timetable or a date for her return.

White did not reveal very much, but the concerning part of her response was the fact that Clark has not been at practice. If Clark is not practicing, she is ailing enough to keep her off the court.
Clark has stated many times in the past that she loves being on the court, even during practice, and if she cannot practice, that implies her injury rehab is going slower than everyone expected.
The Fever have lost several key players to their squad already and if Clark cannot return to the court soon, the Fever could be on the outside of the playoff picture.
