For Mark Gronowski and the offense, they "really gotta believe" they can win

It all starts with believing they can win against Oregon before Saturday's game

Even though it may appear from the outside that the Iowa offense is one-dimensional, that has never been the goal for starting quarterback Mark Gronowski and the rest of the unit.

The Iowa offense had high expectations entering this season, largely due to Gronowski's resume at South Dakota State.

The offense started the season slowly, and while the unit has vastly improved, the passing game still leaves much to be desired.

The Iowa passing attack ranks No. 130 in passing yards per game (132.6) and No. 124 in passing efficiency (114.69), but the running game has been so successful that it has not slowed the offense down.

Heading into a pivotal matchup against No. 9 Oregon, Gronowski acknowledged that it has also been about balance on offense, and they need to believe in themselves.

During his media availability before the game against Oregon (posted by "247Sports"), Gronowski talked about the offensive strategy for this weekend's matchup.

He started the discussion off by stating that he is not back to 100 percent healthy, but is feeling the best he has felt in weeks.

He then stated that everyone knows how important this weekend's game is, and if they enter the week believing they can win, they have a better chance of pulling off the upset.

Gronowski also acknowledged that the goal on offense is always to be 50-50 between the pass and run, but this depends on the unit's success and the game script.

They have been up early in two of the last three games, and have not had to pass the ball as much.

Oregon has a solid defense, and it will take a near-perfect performance by the Iowa offense to complete an upset this weekend.
