The season is officially over for Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark.
After suffering multiple injuries this season, beginning all the way back in the preseason, Clark announced she will not return to the court this season.
Clark has had multiple injury concerns this season after playing in every game at Iowa and during her first year in the WNBA.
Clark managed to play in only 13 games this season, averaging 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 8.8 assists per game this season.
In an emotional post on X, Clark stated she is disappointed and wishes she had better news, but after suffering her most recent injury (right groin strain) and a setback with a bone bruise, she cannot return this season.
After her announcement, fans poured out their support for Clark during this difficult time for her.

The bottom line is CC's health, and hopefully she can return next season better than ever.
You're a hell of an inspiration, young gun. Little girls now have a bona fide hero to look up to. Class and strength all in one.

Clark's long-term health and safety are more important than one season, and everyone hopes to see her back on the court, and fully healthy as soon as possible.
The Indiana Fever must now make a playoff push without their star guard, and currently sit at No. 8 in the WNBA Standings with three games left in the regular season.
