Iowa's improbable run through the NCAA Tournament continues after a massive upset over rival Nebraska in the Sweet 16.

Bennett Stirtz has rightly been the focal point, but Ben McCollum has the rest of the squad clicking at the right time, and they are getting contributions from everywhere.

Whether it's freshman Tate Sage, Alvaro Folgueiras, or Kael Combs, Iowa has a new player step up every game, but one thing is clear: they are fun to watch.

Regardless of how the season finishes, the Cinderella Hawkeyes have opened a lot of eyes, and one former player from the Fran McCaffery era is happy to see some light return to the program.

Anthony Clemmons sees 'new light' in Iowa men's basketball

Former Iowa guard Anthony Clemmons was part of the early Fran McCaffery teams that helped turn the program around, and now he is expressing how proud he is of this year's squad for doing the same.

Clemmons posted that whatever happens, he is proud of the Hawkeyes. After a few down years, he also said it is "fulfilling to see new light" with Iowa Hoops.

Clemmons joined the Iowa program in McCaffery's third year at the helm in 2012-2013 and guided the program to three straight NCAA Tournament appearances.

He does not post on X very often, but he was compelled to share how proud he is of this team and everything they have accomplished.

Taking down Florida and then Nebraska in back-to-back games showcases just how good Ben McCollum and this squad have become, and they are into the Elite 8 for the first time since 1987 under Tom Davis.
