The great news keeps coming for Iowa Women's basketball.
After a stellar week of basketball, including three wins against Nebraska, Purdue, and No. 6 Michigan, everything is going Iowa's way.
The Hawkeyes were the biggest risers in this week's AP Top 25 rankings, moving up four spots from No. 13 to No. 9 overall.
Iowa was led by the dominating play of sophomore star Ava Heiden, who earned the Naismith National Player of the Week award.
Iowa's perfect week was capped off by an unexpected seed bump in the NCAA Tournament, according to one bracketology projection.
ESPN moved Iowa up to a 2 seed in its latest bracketology projection
The Hawkeyes knocked off Michigan 62-44 in a defensive masterclass at home over the weekend, which is all ESPN needed to move Iowa up one seed in their latest projection.

Iowa moving up one seed from a three to a two seed all but guarantees the Hawkeyes are a lock to host the first round in Iowa City, giving Iowa fans more postseason hoops to get excited about.
If Iowa remains a two seed, it will be the highest seed the program has had since 2024, when it earned a one seed during Caitlin Clark's senior season.
Iowa earning a two seed also gives them a weaker opponent, albeit by just one seed.
There are no guarantees that the Hawkeyes will stay a two seed, and they must make a deep Big Ten Tournament run to solidify that projected seed.
Iowa wraps up the regular season with a home game against Illinois on Thursday, February 26, at 8:00 p.m. Central Time before the Big Ten Tournament in Indianapolis from March 4 through March 8.
