WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark leaves a lasting impact wherever she goes. After being selected by the Indiana Fever with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Clark shattered rookie and viewership records.

During the first month of her rookie season (May 2024), around 400,000 fans attended WNBA games, the most for the first month of the WNBA season in 26 years.

During the 2024 season, an average of 1.3 million viewers tuned into WNBA games, nearly tripling the viewership from the previous season.

Clark's popularity is nothing new. She drew huge crowds and viewership for the Iowa Women's Basketball program en route to becoming the greatest all-time college player. During her final few seasons, Clark and Iowa established a rivalry with the LSU Tigers.

The Hawkeyes and Tigers had epic battles in the NCAA Tournament, and a current LSU Tigers guard and rapper, who played against Clark, dropped her name on a new track.

LSU star guard and rapper Flau'jae Johnson gave Clark a shoutout on her new song "Help Me." In a May 9 TikTok, Johnson sang "Double-C on my jacket like I'm Caitlin Clark."

Johnson and Clark matched up twice in their careers. In the first matchup, Johnson and the Tigers got the better of Clark and the Hawkeyes, winning the 2023 National Championship. Clark and the Hawkeyes got revenge the next season, knocking LSU out of the NCAA Tournament in the Elite Eight.

The Iowa and LSU rivalry has been well-documented during Clark's time at Iowa. Johnson's nod to Clark appears genuine, as the two stars have always been respectful to each other. She has mentioned that Clark is one of the hardest players she has ever guarded.

Johnson has had a successful career, including a collaboration with rapper Lil Wayne.

Whether it is in the media or on popular rap songs, people cannot keep Caitlin's name out of their mouths.
