At this point, Caitlin Clark is so good that she is just out there competing against herself for WNBA records.
Clark had one of the most dynamic rookie seasons in recent memory during her historic 2024 season, and while the Fever ultimately fell short of the playoffs, she shattered multiple WNBA and Indiana franchise records. After being sidelined for most of the 2025 season, Clark began this season with a vengeance, putting the league on notice that she is officially back. At this point, we aren't surprised by many things she does, but now she is even trying to outdo herself.
Clark tied another regular-season record that was set in 2024...by her
At this point, WNBA fans are probably very used to hearing the phrase, "Caitlin Clark is the fastest in WNBA history to (fill in the blank)," and as long as she's healthy, that won't change anytime soon. By the time her career is over, she could own most Indiana franchise and WNBA records, but that hasn't stopped her from improving on records she already has.

Clark already became the fastest player in WNBA history to accumulate 1,000-plus points, 250-plus rebounds, and 250-plus assists in just 54 games, and she recently tied her own 2024 record for the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 500-plus points and 250-plus assists in a season, achieving the feat in 45 games this season. Clark is experiencing her best season as a pro to this point in the season, averaging 22.0 points per game (a career high) and a team-leading 8.3 assists per game, guiding the Fever to first place in the Eastern Conference standings.
People love talking about her off-court drama or constantly bash her for her seemingly high turnover rate, but at the end of the day, she goes out there and balls. She doesn't really care what people outside of the Fever organization think, and she is showing what she can do when she is healthy and locked in. If it weren't for a massive scoring output by Kelsey Mitchell, Clark would easily be leading the team in scoring and assists, something that is very rare. Everyone knows how good she is, but don't give her the credit she is due to her negative portrayal in the media. However, the haters are running out of excuses as she continues to shatter records.
The only person getting in the way of her success is her, and if she stays healthy, it's hard to imagine how many records she will break. All the records and accolades won't mean much to her if she never wins a WNBA title, but as fans, we can sit back in awe of what she is already accomplished and what she has the potential to accomplish in her career.
