Iowa quarterback Mark Gronowski is 100 percent healthy and practicing with the squad ahead of the 2025-2026 college football season.

During his final season with South Dakota State (2024-2025), Gronowski suffered a shoulder injury and had surgery to repair it.

Rehabbing for the injury held him out of spring ball and all practices until fall camp began in August. Even though Gronowski has not been able to practice with the squad until now, he has not been idly waiting on the sidelines.

Before being cleared for activities at the beginning of the summer, Gronowski had been feverishly studying game film and building relationships.

A part of building new relationships was taking a trip to Dallas, Texas, with a few teammates, including Jacob Gill and Addison Ostrenga.

During the first few days of August practices, Gronowski has shown what he can do when he is fully healthy. He was shown dropping dimes to teammates and getting Hawkeye fans excited.

Not only has he excited Hawkeye Football fans, but media members as well. Phil Steele, a long-time college football writer, has liked what he has seen from Gronowski. Steele released his top 25 quarterback prospects for the 2026 NFL Draft with Gronowski making the cut.

In Steele's top 25 quarterback prospects for the 2026 NFL Draft list, he named Gronowski as his No. 18 overall quarterback.

Gronowski has already put together a solid career of work and will now have the chance to prove himself at the FBS level next season.

During his four seasons with the South Dakota State Jackrabbits, Gronowski accumulated 10,330 passing yards and 93 touchdowns with a 63 percent completion percentage. He also added 1,767 rushing yards and 37 rushing touchdowns.
