Kicker Keith Duncan converted a 40-yard field goal for the first score of the game. Shortly after, running back Tyler Goodson scored Iowa’s first touchdown to give the Hawkeyes a 10-7 lead. Goodson now has 10 touchdowns in his last nine games. Running back Mekhi Sargent scored Iowa’s next two touchdowns.
