The Iowa Hawkeyes take on the Michigan State Spartans on Saturday, Nov. 7 at Kinnick Stadium. Here’s how to watch on TV or live stream.

There’s heavy pressure on the Iowa Hawkeyes (0-2) as they play host to Michigan State (1-1) at Kinnick Stadium in Week 3 of the Big Ten season. Coming off two disappointing losses, the Hawkeyes are looking to win their first game of the 2020 college football season.

On the other hand, Michigan State is coming off a big upset victory over in-state rival Michigan. The Spartans defeated the 13th-ranked Wolverines by a final score of 27-24 last week. Sparty lost their first game to Rutgers 38-27. Meanwhile, Iowa has lost by a combined five points against Purdue and Northwestern.

Kirk Ferentz has struggled recently against the team from East Lansing. Michigan State has a three-game winning streak over Iowa. The last time these two teams faced off was in 2017, when the Spartans defeated the Hawkeyes 17-10.

First-year starting quarterback Spencer Petras has struggled so far in 2020, but will look to get things going in his third game as the team’s signal caller. Iowa will be without standout receiver Ihmir Smith-Marsette, who was suspended one game after being arrested and charged for driving while intoxicated.

Petras could be running for his life, as Michigan State boasts heavy depth along the defensive line. There’s no doubt he’ll need to have his best game of the season in order for Iowa to win.
