The Iowa football team extended their 2019 winning streak to four games with a dominant victory over MTSU. Here are five observations from the win.

As many of us expected, the Iowa football team took control of their last non-conference game against Middle Tennessee State University from the very first second, and they never relinquished control.

They absolutely dominated Middle Tennessee State and did a great job of capitalizing on Blue Raider mistakes to bring the score to 48-3, Iowa’s largest margin of victory this season.

With Michigan on the docket for next week, this game provided a great chance for the Hawkeyes to move past the CyHawk game and get their swagger and mojo going in full force, and that’s exactly what they did.

It wasn’t perfect by any means. There were a few dropped balls and Nate Stanley almost threw his first interception of the season, but instead, it bounced off Blue Raider Reed Blankenship and into the hands of Tyrone Tracy. Iowa also allowed two sacks to one of the nations worst teams at sacking the quarterback and Cole Banwart had a few welcome-back-to-the-starting-lineup moments, but a win is a win and a 48-3 win is a big-time win no matter who you are playing.

Although I will be going back to watch the tape again, here are my five instant reactions after watching the Iowa football game this morning/early afternoon.
