Bo Bower
Bo Bower is the forgotten one from the Iowa football team’s trio of senior linebackers from the 2017 Iowa football team, but he shouldn’t be forgotten by the XFL.
After spending time in camp with the Denver Broncos during the 2018 preseason, Bower has been out of the NFL.
But anytime you’re a three-year starter at linebacker for the Iowa football team, you probably deserve a shot at a lower level of professional football. Even if he isn’t the most talented linebacker, his story is great. He’s a former walk-on from West Branch, Iowa who started at linebacker as a redshirt freshman and finished his career with 234 tackles, 3 interceptions, 12 passes defended, and 2 forced fumbles.
He’s got decent size (6’2” and 235 pounds), good speed (4.57-second 40-yard dash), and good agility (6.9-second three-cone drill) to be worth a flyer by one of the eight XFL teams. If nothing else, they’re going to get a high-character, hard-working guy who will elevate the intensity at camp.
