3. Nebraska Cornhuskers (Lincoln, NE)

Before Nebraska fans get all up in my business about me ranking the Cornhuskers as 3rd instead of 1st, I am not dissing Nebraska by putting this game here.

I do believe Nebraska is a talented team, and I do believe Lincoln, Nebraska can be a difficult place to play, but it’s still not worse than Madison, Wisconsin or Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Moreover, I do have concerns about this Nebraska squad. They have the potential to win 10 games, but with expectations seemingly growing greater and greater by the day (Adrian Martinez for Heisman, really?), I worry that if Nebraska has 3-4 losses heading into this game, the life will have already been sucked out of this squad.

And before you question that, just look at this game the past few years. Outside of Nebraska’s poor resemblance of a team the last two seasons, they’ve put out solid teams, yet these teams “underperformed” according to media expectations and the Iowa football team took care of business. Because of this uncertainty, this game is third.
