With Kirk Ferentz’ 2020 Iowa football recruiting class potentially being his best ever, let’s look back at his top 5 classes thus far.

Kirk Ferentz has done an excellent job of assembling his Iowa football 2020 recruiting class, which currently ranks 21st overall and 4th in the Big Ten. With key commitments from 4-star recruits in Logan Jones, Deuce Hogan, and Luke Lachey, the Hawkeyes should be set up nicely in the coming years for these guys to make a significant contribution on the football field.

Hogan is ranked as the 18th best pro-style quarterback in the country and held offers from Georgia, Oklahoma State, and Iowa State, among others. He committed to Iowa in a video and explained his reasons why he chose to call Iowa City his future home.

Having the potential to be successful, making an impact, and quality of relationships he wanted to form were all reasons that drew him to Kirk Ferentz’ team.

He even took it upon himself to spread the message which helped land several other recruits.  In a nutshell, these are the type of players that Kirk Ferentz and his coaching staff look forward, natural-born leaders.

It’s what could potentially make this 2020 class the best ever in the Ferentz era. Obviously, it is far too early to make a determination on that so let’s look at his top 5 recruiting classes as Ferentz enters year 21 at the helm.
