The Iowa football team has several long-standing rivalries. Today, we try to rank each of these rivalries from worst to first.

It’s always interesting to see which games matter the most to Iowa football fans because if you ask five different people, you’re liable to get five different answers. Everyone has an opinion and they all have valid thoughts to those opinions.

Recently, FanSided put out a top-10 Big Ten rivalries list and it sparked quite a bit of discussion, especially from Iowa football fans who were floored that Iowa versus Nebraska was so high and Iowa versus Wisconsin wasn’t even on there so we set out to rank each of the Iowa Hawkeye’s rivalry games from worst to first, and it wasn’t easy.

There are so many biases that go into the decision, so as much as possible I tried to clarify my biases here and explain my reasoning behind each selection. I also tried to lean on the historical value of the rivalry as much as the recent value of the rivalry while factoring my general impression of Hawkeye fans leading up to game day.

With that being said, here’s where we rank each of the Iowa Hawkeyes rivalry games from worst to first.
